Frigopoint has started serial production of the FP-ERV15 ERV
In July 2025, Frigopoint began serial production of FP-ERV15 pulse electronic expansion valves with a capacity of up to 70 kW. Tests of the new ERVs were carried out at the end of 2024 and the first half of 2025. More than 50 systems on FP-ERV15 were implemented.
With the release of the new Frigopoint model, the range of expansion valves covers system capacities from 0.3 kW to 53 kW, for both commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
FP-ERV15 is a pilot-controlled expansion valve with a 230 V AC pulse coil. Opening is carried out by applying voltage to the coil, closing by removing it, the recommended opening-closing period is 6 seconds. Below is the device and description of the operating principle of FP-ERV15:
In the static position, there is no voltage on coil 4 - the valve is closed. Plunger 7 with fluoroplastic seal 8 installed in it is hermetically pressed by the force of spring 9 and the pressure difference of the working medium to the plunger nozzle (pilot) 13. The pilot, in turn, is pressed to the working surface of the nozzle insert 11. To open the valve, voltage is applied to coil 4. Under the influence of the electromagnetic field, a force arises in rod 6 that overcomes the forces pressing plunger (direct) 7 to the nozzle of pilot 13. Plunger 7 moves away, releasing the nozzle opening of the pilot. The pressure before and after pilot 13 tends to equalize and it moves away from nozzle insert 11 by the flow of the working medium (coolant). The coolant moves due to the pressure difference in the inlet and outlet pipes. The valve will remain in the open position while coil 4 is energized.
The technical characteristics and performance of FP-ERV15 are presented in the tables:
